Jonathan has served as Olfax Medical’s Chief Executive Officer since January 2021. He is a product development and commercialization specialist with a strong history of operations and management excellence while transforming early-stage technology concepts into fully realized medical device and consumer health products. Prior to joining Olfax Medical, he served as VP of R&D at Simbex where he was instrumental in growing the 4-person startup into a thriving 50-person product development organization. During that time, he was responsible for establishing new-product strategic vision and execution for medical technology development across a wide variety of technical domains, oversaw the commercial launch of numerous products, and transitioned product development from federally funded support to corporate partnerships.
Jonathan has also been directly responsible for developing and directing two multi-institutional, federally funded, non-profit centers (NEPDC and TREAT) to accelerate innovation and entrepreneurship for underserved populations. These joint ventures between industry, Dartmouth College, Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston University, University of Pittsburgh, and many others achieved unheard of success in markets that are traditionally ill-suited for commercial prosperity, resulting in more than 40 new product launches and over $140M in capital raised.
He is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology and brings a broad entrepreneurial and technical background to the team that includes strategic business planning and execution, non-dilutive fundraising, medical product ideation, regulatory and quality systems, experimental methodology, and systems engineering.
